Moorea is a seven-minute flight or 30-minute catamaran ride from Tahiti. The hotel is located in the North of Moorea, between Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay, and is a 20-minute drive from the Moorea Airport (MOZ) and 25-minute one from Mooreas ferry dock. Manava Beach Resort and Spa Moorea can arrange your ground transfers from both the ferry dock and Moorea airport with a transportation company.

Located only 9 miles from Tahiti, Moorea, the sister island, offers spectacular dives on the outside reef. During your dives in Moorea, youll meet many sharks, including the impressive Lemon Sharks that have made their diving reputation in Moorea.

Beach bungalow

Beach Bungalows can be found right in front of the lagoon. Each one offers all the comfort and equipment you'll need. It features a king-size bed, a single bed, a bathroom with a shower and a sundeck conveniently equipped with two sun loungers.

Overwater Bungalow

These Overwater Bungalows are facing the mountains within a shallow lagoon. All Overwater Bungalows feature a king-size bed, a bathroom with a shower or bathtub, and a large sundeck with direct access to the lagoon.

Premium Overwater Bungalow

Premium Overwater Bungalows offer breathtaking views of the ocean. Each one has a king-sized bed, a bathroom with a bathtub or a walk-in shower, a large sundeck and sitting area with direct access to the lagoon.

Garden View Duplex With Kitchenette

Located on the second floor of a 2-story building, the Garden View Duplex features a mezzanine and is equipped with a kitchenette (including a microwave, a refrigerator, a sink, kitchenware, and kettle), a King Size bed upstairs, and a double sofa bed on the ground floor. Each unit has air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, plus a balcony with a view of the garden.

Garden View Room

Garden View Rooms are set in a two-story thatch hotel block at the back of the property about 50 meters from the beach. The room features a king-size bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a with offering a garden view.

Family Garden Duplex

Family Garden Duplexes are perfect for families. Located in the main building, the Family Garden Duplex offers all the comfort and equipment needed for a family stay. The room features 2 single beds, a bathroom with a shower, a mezzanine with a king-size bed and a balcony with a garden view.

Garden Pool Bungalow

Located in a tropical garden, each Garden Pool Bungalow has a small private area with a pool. This bungalow features a king-size bed, a single bed, a bathroom with a shower and a terrace with a private pool.

The Mahanai Restaurant is the comfortable main restaurant that offers breakfast and dinner. Serving a delightful combination of French and Polynesian cuisine, the restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients. On Saturday nights, a Manava dinner buffet is held featuring Tahitian traditional dances and music. On Wednesdays, a Tereva barbecue night is held.

The Miti Bar & Terrasse is located by the pool, offering guests an exotic mood setting as they enjoy their favorite cocktail or snack on some light dishes and Polynesian specialties.

Dive Overview

Manava Moore Resort has an on-site Diving Center, the Moorea Blue Diving Center. Moorea offers a good variety of dive locations to see developed corals, tropical fish, turtles, sharks, and whales. Some dive spots are within 10 to 15 minutes by boat from the hotel.

initiation and dives

Dives are organized as follows: in general, there are two successive dives on the same morning, these are held at two different sites. The first is a departure from the dock at 8 AM, return around noon. These dives are called two-tank dives as you will be using two tanks, one for each dive. Sometimes, depending on demand, the departure may be scheduled at 10 AM in addition to the 8 AM departure, for a single dive. You can also choose for an afternoon tank (at 2 PM), sunset tank (only on Wednesdays and Saturdays), as well as a night tank (during the full moon). We also propose initiation for honeymooners, with a professional photo/video report included.

training

Training can only begin after introductory dive in the lagoon in the magnificent "Aquarium" site (not included in the training price). We feature SSI (Scuba Diver, Open Water, Referral) training programs as well as ANMP, CMAS, FFESSM programs from Level 1 to Level 4.

daily observations

Moorea Blue Diving, in collaboration with ORP (Observatoire des Requins de Polynesie), the shark observatory of French Polynesia, collects information and participates in the census of Moorea lemon sharks.
