Diving Season 

Diving is possible year-round, though conditions are best outside the rainy season (April to December). Visibility often reaches 60–90 feet, and water temperatures range from 80–85°F (26–29°C). Cyclones are rare, and diving conditions are generally calm.

The Solomon Islands lie on the edge of the Coral Triangle and rival destinations like Indonesia and Papua New Guinea for biodiversity. Diving in the Solomons is suitable for all levels. While some advanced drift dives exist (like Devil’s Highway for manta rays), most sites offer calm conditions and moderate depths, making it a great destination for both beginners and experienced divers. 

Getting There 

Most travelers fly into Honiara via Australia, Fiji, or Papua New Guinea. From Honiara, you can board your liveaboard or take a short domestic flight to one of the island-based resorts.

80–85°F (26–29°C) year-round. 

Wetsuit Recommendation

3mm full wetsuit or shorty depending on your preference.
