Belize is a popular destination for liveaboards as their reefs cover a large area that is more easily accessed compared to those staying on Turneffe Island. Divers who choose to take the liveaboard can also potentially see more marine life than those staying at a land-based resort. Belize is best known for its Caribbean sea life, such as nurse sharks, eagle rays, toadfish, barracudas, grouper, slipper lobsters, and toadfish. You can also dive with whale sharks in Belize if you visit during the right time.
There is a limited number of liveaboards available in Belize, so booking in advance is highly recommended.
For the best dive conditions, we recommend visiting Belize in April and May. During this time, there will be fewer tourists, while the opportunity to see whale sharks remains. April to June offers the best visibility, although the diving in Belize remains good throughout the year. Feel free to ask us about our experiences during the different seasons. We've been booking and running successful trips to Belize throughout the years and can give you recommendations based on your preferences!
Diving Season: It is generally divided into two main diving seasons: the rainy season (June-October) and the dry season (November-April), which is also high tourist season.
