Weather Conditions

From late November to early December, expect warm and tropical weather with daytime temperatures ranging from 75-85F (24-29C). The sea conditions are generally calm, offering excellent visibility for diving and whale-watching. This period provides ideal conditions for exploring the islands marine life and enjoying outdoor activities.

As the worlds first Sperm Whale Sanctuary, the islands waters are home to multiple sperm whale families, making it a premier destination for whale enthusiasts. These majestic creatures can often be seen socializing, breaching, and even performing vertical dives. Dominicas rich marine biodiversity also includes colorful coral reefs, diverse fish species, and other marine mammals, all set against the backdrop of clear, nutrient-rich waters that support a thriving underwater ecosystem.Besides sperm whales, guests also have the chance to see dolphins, sea turtles, colorful coral reefs, diverse fish species, and occasionally manta rays and small reef sharks.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Melville Hall Airport.

Day 2 - 6: Spend 6–8 hours each day on the water searching for sperm whales and other marine life. Enjoy fresh tropical fruit, drinks, and lunch onboard. Conditions are generally calm, with a light afternoon breeze.

Day 7: Say goodbye to Dominica as we arrange your return transfer to the airport, wrapping up an unforgettable adventure.

In order to join an expedition, you are required to carry trip, health, and dive (if applicable) insurance. This information as well as your passport photo will be requested after you place your deposit.
