Features
Dressel Divers has rental equipment that feels like it's every diver/s own! The dive equipment is premium quality, regularly maintained and replaced with new and innovative products over time. They offer a wide variety of gear so that persons of all statures and ages will find something that suits them.
The dive centers include state of the art equipment rooms staffed by employees who wash, disinfect and store clients rental equipment. They also include a place to store personal dive equipment. Our cylinders, filling stations and compressors are operated and maintained by well trained qualified staff in strict compliance with the generally accepted industry standards and all instructions specific to the brands used.
The boats are exclusively designed and built for Dressel Divers under the strict supervision of Javier Ibran, a lifelong diver and the companys founding President. Dive boats are tailored to provide ample space for equipment and clients, as well as an easy entry and exit into the water for divers. Cylinders are provided on board our boats, the majority of which are catamarans or trimarans (to limit movement due to waves and therefore seasickness).
All boats, furthermore, are equipped with a sunroof, fresh drinking water, a radio, a GPS device, oxygen, spare diving equipment, and everything else deemed mandatory by the United States Coast Guard. The engines, all top brands, are subject to ongoing monitoring and servicing by the in-house mechanics. Boat captains, moreover, all have First Aid medical training. Last but not least, with very few exceptions all boats have double engines.
Almost all staff obtained their professional diving qualifications with Dressel Divers' own PADI Career Development Center. They are therefore trained within our own philosophy and in harmony with the objectives of Dressel Divers. They will give you not only a great dive but also a very safe one!

Dive Overview
Jamaica, although not widely recognized as a popular dive destination, offers an enticing underwater adventure for scuba diving enthusiasts. The island's clear waters, lively reefs, and colorful marine life create a rewarding experience across its lesser-known dive sites.
One of the standout features of diving in Jamaica is the clarity of the water. The visibility is often excellent, allowing divers to fully appreciate the beauty of the underwater scenery. This clear water provides the perfect backdrop for the vibrant reefs that surround the island.

Jamaica Dive Overview
With more than 100 dive sites available, Jamaica caters to scuba divers of all skill levels. Exploring the underwater world, divers will encounter shallow coral gardens teeming with a variety of small and medium-sized reef fish, moray eels, rays, and occasional pelagic species. The marine life diversity is impressive, providing an engaging and colorful experience beneath the waves.
Jamaica's dive sites also offer fascinating underwater topography, adding an extra layer of interest to the diving experience. Divers can explore underwater formations, such as walls and drop-offs, which showcase the island's connection to the Cayman Trench. These more challenging sites provide opportunities for experienced divers to test their skills and discover the wonders of the deeper waters.
In addition to the natural beauty, Jamaica's dive sites are home to several intriguing wreck dives. Exploring these sunken vessels adds a sense of adventure and history to underwater exploration.

Luminous Lagoon Excursion & Tour
- Come with us on excursion and tour for a swim at the luminous lagoon in Falmouth where the water lights up! The glistening waters of the world famous lagoon really shine during the Dressel Divers Luminous Lagoon excursions that also start with a great sunset.
- The luminous lagoon is the habitat of extremely rare dinoflagellate phosphorescent microbes that only survives where the warm fresh waters of the Martha Brae River meet the salty sea water. The continued downstream current of the river activates the microbes to move and emit neon-green color light not unlike light sticks.
- This phosphorescent effect is so pronounced that fish swimming about the lagoon seem moving stars. This unique natural phenomenon exists in only four places on earth. No visitor to this area should miss this opportunity to see the best dinoflagellate light show on the planet.
- We cannot confirm it but suspect Bob Marley must have been here and thought Stir It Up and dont worry about a thing, every little (dinoflagellate) thing is gonna be alright.
- Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Mangrove Kayak Excursions & Tours
- And why not join our mangrove kayaking and snorkeling safari, a beautiful environment that is the source of much you see on the coastal reefs? The habitat you will visit during the Dressel Divers Mangrove kayaking excursion is an important contributor to life on the coral reef that you will snorkel next. The mangroves provide habitats and feeding grounds for many fish, reptile, amphibian, and bird as well as mammal species.
- Many tropical fish you encounter snorkeling right after depending on mangroves to complete their life cycle and migrate to them to lay their eggs. Their juvenile offspring hide in between the many mangrove roots for some time to avoid predators. Only when they are of reasonable size do they move back to sea to join life on the coral reef that makes snorkeling so attractive.
- We kayak together with a guide and zigzag between mangrove islands at a slow pace and enter a little lagoon where great bird watching is possible. Then the boat takes us to Coral City a beautiful shallow reef for a guided snorkel tour with amazing tropical marine and coral life.
- Frequency: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
